Retail Architecture

Are you considering a new retail outlet? We can offer expert advice on all aspects of design and documentation required for mall approval (we have designed a number of stores in Westfield malls), building consent, pricing and construction.

If you are looking at rebranding or refreshing a current retail chain we have extensive experience in this area with over 10 years working with corporate clients.

Three nationwide rebranding and fit out projects for Holiday Shoppe and United Travel stores over the years (most recently the transition of 64 stores to Harvey World Travel brand) proves our ability to work on larger scale projects and to strict timeframes.  Contact Chris as he has more experience than many other Architects in Auckland.

Harvey World Travel Rebranding Project

Designpoint were engaged by Holiday Shoppe, a long term client, for the rebranding of their 68 nationwide stores to Harvey World Travel. To ensure a smooth transition all stores were visited personally by Designpoint, site measured and individual design drawings were prepared for the external and internal branding and fitout. A close working relationship with both Holiday Shoppe and the fitout contractor ensured a highly successful, well planned changeover to the new brand within a tight, defined timeframe.

“Harvey World Travel shops are independently owned and operated businesses forming part of a national franchise network.

During 2008, the franchisees decided to embark on a bold rebrand to Harvey World Travel and Designpoint were contracted to re-design store interiors and exteriors. We had used the Designpoint team on many occasions in the past for previous projects and we have always found them to be extremely professional, providing excellent services to us and our franchise network.

We would have no hesitation in recommending them to others for similar work.”

Holiday Shoppe / Budget Travel

In 2000 Designpoint were engaged to design a new style for Budget Travel’s move into the high spec mall environment in various locations nationwide.

The careful utilization of space was important with shop area much less than previous outlets. Design included:

  • signage
  • finishes
  • space planning
  • joinery design
  • project management of the fitout

In 2002 ,following the excellent working relationship established with Budget Travel, sister company Holiday engaged Designpoint to refresh it's look for all 50 franchised shops nationwide.

Soon after, a merger occurred between these 2 companies which saw Designpoint handle the nationwide rebrand of all Budget Travel shops to the new Holiday Shoppe design.

In all, some 45 shops were rebranded with project management handled by Designpoint . All Budget Travel signage was changed over in 3 days with internal upgrading following this.
